The Hillside-Quadra Healthy Neighbourhood Working Group is an open committee that has spent countless hours consulting with neighbourhood residents and considering and discussing the impacts, opportunities and neighbourhood needs related to the Summit of Quadra Village and its site.  The Healthy Neighbourhood Working Group agrees on the following key points:

  • In order to ensure the health of the neighbourhood, accesible, meaningful and functional outdoor spaces must be accessible to neighbourhood residents.  These spaces must be consistent with ideas generated by the neighbourhood. These spaces should factor in the most unmet (lifespan) development needs in the areas of the neighbourhood closest to Hillside-Quadra.

  • The Summit at Quadra Village should engage in advanced proactive planning regarding various practical considerations such as traffic, parking, shading, sightlines, sound pollution and  the various phases of the project (eg: blasting, construction, post-construction).  These areas should all be adressed and implemented in such a way that the neighbourhood improves and/or experiences the minimum impact possible.

  • Site and facility planning should be done in close consultation with neighbourhood residents.  Neighbourhood residents of Hillside-Quadra should see their ideas reflected in the completed and operating Summit at Quadra Village
